JulieHera DeStefano is director of “Journey to Normal” a film about the physical and emotional toll of war, and the deep disconnect between veterans and civilians in the US. Julie embedded with the US military in Afghanistan to make a documentary on female veterans and how they deal with deployments and returning home to their loved ones. JulieHera DeStefano graduated from Carnegie Mellon University and was Actor, Managing Director and Producer of an award-winning off-Broadway theater company and Business Manager of a New York-based film studio. Before NYC she performed extensively in Pittsburgh with Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Pittsburgh Playhouse, and Gargaro Productions.
