Pat Ulbrich, Dir. “In Sisterhood”.

Pat Ulbrich is Director of “In Sisterhood,” an oral history and multimedia project about the dynamic women’s rights movement in Pittsburgh in the ’60s through the ’80s. She is a visiting scholar at Univ. of Pittsburgh’s Gender, Sexuality & Women’s Studies program. Pat has worked to integrate issues of race class and gender into the women’s studies curricula at U of Miami, FL and U of Akron, OH. In Pittsburgh, she has evaluated adolescent pregnancy programs and designed innovative projects to make family planning clinics an empowerment zone for rural battered women. She has advised the CDC and US Dept of Health and Human Services on issues related to domestic violence and reproductive health. She co-founded the Women and Girls Foundation of SW PA and was board member of Pittsburgh Action against Rape (PAAR). Pat has been active in Sociologists for Women in Society and received their Feminist Activist Award, 2002. See more at http://insisterhood.info
